Description

In Italy they are now marketed as a variety of digestive biscuits, having previously been known as Suncrok.

As chocolate hobnobs usually have a kind of cross-hatched drip pattern on them (not sure how else to describe it ) which I couldn’t recreate, I just drizzled them with extra chocolate for a decorative effect. I rated 4 stars for that reason because taste and texture is a classic and can't go wrong with these and a cup of tea! The biscuit is available in many varieties, including dark chocolate, chocolate orange, and Hobnob bars. You can get a good dunk without them falling apart and they’ve got oats in, so you can tell yourself that they are healthy. You should also note that the picture images show only our serving suggestions of how to prepare your food - all table accessories and additional items and/or ingredients pictured with the product you are purchasing are not included.

Thank you 🙂 Hmm Hobnobs are an oat based cookies/biscuit, so it would be a completely different recipe if you replace the oats. This is the perfect chocolate biscuit with the right amount of crunch, grit and a lovely layer of chocolate.I have had this recipe on my to-do list for some time…… and as today it is snowing here in Spain I thought I would give it a try.

With one tablespoon of the golden syrup replaced with honey, two packet of dark chocolate chips, one of milk chocolate chips and a decent handful of chopped mixed nuts.

It has since been brought back, but slightly changed by adding "hob" to the beginning of the last word. That step is completely optional, as is actually coating them with chocolate – plain HobNobs are a thing – but, to be honest, why would you go for plain if there’s a chocolate option? There’s nothing better with a cup of tea in the afternoon when you need a quick pick me up, or some comfort after a tough day.

Once I got stopped by security with 7 rolls of Hobs and chocolate covered Digestives in my carry on.If you do require precise ingredient information you should consult the manufacturer, whose contact details will appear on the packaging or label. But, remember that it’s just chocolate without butter or anything, so it does set pretty hard and a thick layer would be quite tough. The name Hobnob comes from the verb 'to hobnob', which means to spend time being friendly with someone who is important or famous. In a large bowl with a wooden spoon or stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachments, cream together the butter and sugar for 2-3 minutes until pale and smooth.
