Usually grown as an annual here in the UK, this long-flowering plant can be a great choice for gardens that do not have as much space for planting, as these bright blooms can also work well as a stand-alone plant in a very small area. You can use either a cutting wheel, scalpel, or a knife to cut out the petals. Cut the daisy shape in half then in half again, so you have 4 quarters. Proceed to cut each petal so they become individual petals. You will immediately have 16 petals. For each flower you will need to make 20 -25 petals. These herbaceous perennials grow one to two feet wide and up to three feet tall. They form clumps that look like low bushes. These flowers are also valued for their medicinal uses. Also known as the common daisy or lawn daisy, the English daisy ( Bellis perennis) is one of the most common daisy species. While native to Europe, the English daisy has taken over many Australian and American lawns that don’t clear from mowing and are quite invasive — hence the name “lawn daisy.” The common daisy plant grows up to 10 cm in height.
